Sweet Caroline's dedication was this morning. Scott & I have officially promised to bring her up in a household that loves the Lord. We're looking forward to it. :)
The dedication went well. The 3 big sisters did a great job standing still and quiet up on the big stage in front of everybody. Apparently Julia almost showed the congregation her monkey panties, but I never noticed. Scott read a special Scripture in honor of Caroline - Colossians 1:9-14.
Following the church service, the family celebrated with a picnic at the park. It couldn't have gone better. The radar showed rain covering up most of Alabama today, but we didn't get a drop. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the fellowship was sweet, the kids were entertained and the cleanup was easy. Pretty great.
The pastor said that we were being obedient to the "be fruitful and multiply" command. :)
Our picnic.
Caroline had a cardiologist appointment this past Friday. She had gained 3 ounces, after having gained 10 ounces the week before. The doctor increased her medicine dosage and decided that the time has come to schedule surgery. We requested the 3rd week of September and should have a date by the middle of the week. I'll let you know when I know. I'm thankful that Caroline has had the opportunity to grow as much as she has and still isn't greatly symptomatic. Her breathing is good. Her heart looks good. I'm thankful that it looks like we're going to be able to do the surgery soon and move on. I'm excited to see how quickly Miss Caroline will grow and change once her heart is repaired.
