A few pictures just because I could just eat them up...

So, we're officially famous. Well, maybe not famous exactly, but we did have a very nice article written about our family in our local newspaper. Click here to read it. It was a very well-written article with great pictures of our beautiful baby.
Apparently, LOTS of people read the local paper. Scott and I were at Academy Sports on Saturday night when a lady came up to us, "Are you the family from the paper?" Well, yes, actually...I knew I should've put lipstick on before I went in... We were at an event last night when this total stranger that I'm having a very superficial conversation with throws in, "this would be perfect for a mom with... what is it? Four small children?" It didn't hit me until a few minutes later... how did she know I had four kids?? It's been nuts.
The newspaper article has also borne much fruit. The whole reason for doing it was to bring attention to The Bell Center. If a couple of extra dollars were thrown their direction as a result, all the better. Mission accomplished. People that we don't even know have now donated money to the Bell Center and many many people asked me about it last night at the event we went to.
Perhaps most fruitful, a lady called me one afternoon last week after reading the article. She has a beautiful little girl with Down Syndrome who is about a year older than Caroline. She doesn't know any other children or parents affected by DS and has had a difficult last year. It was a divine appointment. We met for lunch on Friday. I'm hopeful that we'll get together again soon and can provide encouragement and wisdom to each other along the way. She's even interested in coming to church with us next week... I'm hopeful.

Great article! I love the sweet picture of Caroline. By the way, since your blog address is in the article, does that mean you have to start updating it more now :)?

WOO HOO!!! I hope she comes! Boy- you have truly been in the spotlight lately haven't you? I know that's NOT a comfortable place for you but you're handling it beautifully! Oh...and by the way....another one of your friends would LOVE to have lunch with you. Wonder who that might be????? :)
What beautiful pictures but boy that article was fantastic. Pure tears of joy were flooding down my face. I am so proud of the whole Braddock family. Hope to see you soon!
