Grace had her first friend home from school yesterday afternoon for a short playdate. Jaelynn is Grace's friend from her kindergarten class. This marks the beginning of a whole new stage for us. I really enjoy having other kids over to play. However, every single time prior to yesterday, I know the child, the child's parents, where they go to church, their birthdays, their siblings, their address, their medical history... well, maybe not their medical history, but you get the idea. Jaelynn is a sweet kid, but not knowing her family, I'm not comfortable sending Grace to their house (where she's already been invited to twice). I think that playdates will have to continue here at casa de Braddock until further notice. Is that weird? Am I being too overprotective?? Too bad. :)
