Hey Susan. I wanted to tell you about what your friend Mary K Braddock's son did for me the other day. He moved down the street from me a few blocks away several months ago. I have only said hi to him and his family a few times and we don't know each other at all. That's what made this so special. God is so good! I just love God things!
This past Saturday I was walking my daily walk and the vacant lot in front of Jane Turney have had a LOT of huge tree limbs that have fallen on it for awhile that I have wanted for firewood for our new BIG fire pit in the back yard, but I had no way of getting them here because we don't have a truck. WAY too big for me to drag down the street, which I have considered if you know me, but quickly dismissed. I've been asking the Lord for the past 2 weeks as I walked by them every day how can I get them here, Lord? It would be free wood!
Well, Saturday morning there was a young guy out there (I don't even know him except he is Mary K Braddock's son, my friend told me) cutting all the big tree limbs up! He lives next door to the vacant lots. I hollered at him as I passed by and said, "you must be getting you some firewood for your fireplace"! He yelled back "no...just cutting them up!" I told him I had wanted it for firewood but couldn't get it since I didn't have a truck. He said, "then I'll bring it to you!" I was dumbfounded with joy! How sweet!!!!!
He showed up at my house about an hour later with a full truck load of firewood and carried it ALL around to my back yard and started stacking it. He wouldn't even let me help at all! Told me to just stand there and keep drinking my sweet tea. LOL. He even cut it to the PERFECT length!
I told him it was a prayer answered! I had been asking God how I could get it here for firewood for 2 weeks. He looked at me and said, "Then you were the one I was cutting it for!" He said God the night before had told him to go over there and cut it up for firewood because someone wanted it. He didn't have a chain saw so he went and borrowed one from someone and started cutting it the next morning not knowing what to do with it except just put it out on the street. Then I showed up!
Talked about both of us being BLESSED! I cried! And am still crying about it.... GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
I don't for the life of me know why stories like this still sort of surprise and blow me away... God has shown His faithfulness over and over and over. I'm soooo thankful for reminders of just how much he loves us and wants to overwhelm us with blessings. Thank you, Lord!!!

Now, I'm crying at that story too! That's so neat! I've been in Bible Study all morning, and we've been talking about how God speaks to us and leads us when we let Him. I'm so glad you have a husband that listens, and is obedient to do what God has for him. :) That's really neat!
