Llama Drama
Shelby had her staples removed today. I was REALLY dreading it. The process of putting them in was torture. I had been assured repeatedly that taking them out was a breeze. It wasn't. Thankfully, Scott was here today and went into the actual procedure room with her while I waited with Julia in the lobby. I could hear my sweet baby SCREAMING through two closed doors and a hallway. Scott believes that this dr. apparently rarely (if ever before) removes staples. Apparently it also might have been too early to remove them since it bled - a lot. Hence the bandage on my sweet girl's head in the picture. As her mom, listening to my daughter holler in pain like that was overwhelming and heart-wrenching - literally. However, even as quickly as the drive home, Shelby was back to giggling and her sweet smiley chatty self. The whole experience reminded me (again) how blessed I am to have three healthy children. This is not something that I take lightly or for granted. I pray that the Lord will continue to bless them with good health. I don't ever want to be the mom who is regularly heart-wrenched in seeing their baby suffer. Healthy children are a blessing that I am fully appreciating tonight.

Bless her heart! She looks SO BIG in this picture-craziness!
