See this handsome guy?? Isn't he cute?? :) Man, oh man, I love him. What I don't love is that for the second year since we've been married, he will be working out of town for Christmas. I don't love Christmas Eve without him. I don't love Christmas morning without him. I don't love shopping and wrapping and arranging presents for the big ta-dah without him. So... we've got a sprinkle of rain on our Christmas festivities. However, the blessing of the whole thing is that unlike the last time he was away for Christmas, Scott will be home in a few days instead of a few months. Unlike the last time he was away for Christmas, we can actually talk to him on the phone (and perhaps ichat on the computer even!). I'm thankful for the blessings that we have - even in light of "Daddy" being gone for Christmas. We're thankful that he actually still has a job (and bonus - he even loves it!) to work this Christmas.
Let me reiterate - we have so much to be thankful for this Christmas. We have been overwhelmingly blessed and I am so so grateful. I heard a prayer on the radio tonight that ended with "May the new year be a year full of Jesus." Amen to that. I pray that for me, my family and for all of you. May 2009 be a year full of Jesus.
Merry Christmas!
