Tea Party

Thank you for all of your prayers, comments, e-mails, and phone calls.  Let's move on to a lighter subject, shall we??

At Grace's school on Valentine's Day, they have a "tea party" to emphasize manners.  The kids wear their parents' fancy clothes and they do fancy things (like what, I'm not sure).  Grace is wearing my senior prom dress.  (Wow Wow Wee! at the sequins!!!)  The parents who decorated went ALL OUT on this tea party in Paris (that's the theme).  I was supposed to be helping to coordinate (being the great homeroom mom that I am :) ), but the events of the week pretty much kept me out of the loop.  Now, I have to say that I'm kinda thankful.  There were a ZILLION parents there making a much bigger deal of the tea party than the kids thought that it was.  There was even a picture taking station where the kids divided up into little couples and had their picture made in front of a little Parisian cafe backdrop.  Oh my stars, really???  It was all very nice, but somebody (or somebodies) put in many many many hours of work...

Thanks for sharing. Zetta Grace wore a dress today that I had originally bought for Grace when Shelby was born. By mistake, I never mailed it and then handed it to Katie two years later. Now it has come back and was a joy to see this morning. We love you and your beautiful family.
