Thank you all so much for your calls, e-mails, 'comments', prayers and support. We are overwhelmed with your love and feel covered in your prayers. We are so grateful.
Day 2 has been good. The morning was difficult, if I'm being totally honest. Caroline spent most of today still on the ventilator. She was awake this morning just enough to be really frustrated and uncomfortable with the tube stuck out of her mouth and down her throat. She could open her eyes and look at us which while wonderful to see, also made me feel more helpless. It was pretty emotionally draining. The afternoon was amazingly better.
By the time we returned for the afternoon visitation, the ventilator had been removed and Caroline was much more comfortable. Scott and I even had a chance to hold her for a good while. Just being able to hold Caroline and pat her bottom was balm for my soul.
Scott and I have returned to the Marriott tonight because she's still in the CICU. Caroline is spending one more night there before moving to the regular floor. I'm so grateful for this. She'll be well cared for and we'll get one more good night's rest. They will try to give her some glucose water in a bottle tonight, preparing her body for some milk tomorrow.
All is well.

I am so glad things are going good. I have been thinking about yall the past several days. I hope the news will continue to be good. If there is anything I can do let me know. Your sweet Grace came up to me yesterday and gave me a hug (I was so shocked because the day before I could barely get her to talk to me) and told me everything went good. GREAT NEWS!!!! Krisee

we prayed for your sweet caroline in core group this morning and her family as well. i am so thankful that everything went well and will continue to pray for your precious baby. please let me know if there is anything we can do for you. we would love to have any little girls to come play at our house anytime if you need some help.
