I didn't have cousins that we were close to growing up. We had the "see ya at Christmastime" kind of cousins. One of the most exciting parts of moving back to Alabama for me is that my girls have cousins that they can know, grow up with and be close to. Anna & Lawson belong to Scott's sister, Christy, and her husband, Matt. They live 30 minutes away and Christy does a great job including us in all sorts of fun activities. They stay CRAZY busy but she always seems to work us in between school, work, church, dance, soccer, choir & their very full social life. Anna & Grace are 9 days apart in age. Lawson & Shelby are about 8 weeks apart. Sweet Julia has Sawyer that's close in age but far in distance. It's such a cool relationship to watch develop and I'm so overwhelmingly thankful for it. Now if only we could move Sawyer, Eli, & Caleb a few hours north... I can't imagine how fantastic that would be. I could just sit here and cry thinking about how far they are... maybe I'm just a little extra hormonal...
That was kind of a bummer ending... Let me go back again and end with saying how THANKFUL we are for cousins... all of them. :) Much better.
