Scott and I had a fantastic trip to DC - despite the circumstances that took us there. We had lots of great quality time with the Braddocks and with each other. What's fun about Scott & me is that after spending so much time together, we like each other all the more! :)
We took the metro from the airport, walked out of the station and were immediately on the mall - surrounded by the Smithsonian, Washington Monument and Capitol. How absolutely cool is that??? I was blown away with the fact that we were standing in downtown DC. I couldn't seem to wrap my mind around it. This airline pilot gig might work out after all... I see much traveling in our future...
We were totally happy standing in the cold rain waiting to be picked up. :) We visited the World War II memorial - an absolutely beautiful place.
