All of my girls are blanket children. Seems like from birth they attach themselves to one blanket in particular and haul that sucker around for two years. Julia's is especially large - the size of a baby quilt (since that's really what it is). When she turned two a few weeks ago, the rule became that she had to leave the blanket in the bed. She hasn't enjoyed this new rule in the slightest and sometimes just likes to hang out in her crib and snuggle with the silly thing. That's what she was doing last week when I took this picture. I gave her a few of her babies to keep her company since nobody else wanted to hang out in her room while she just laid in the bed with the blanket. The blanket is green and not even visible in this picture because it's covered in babies. :) The separation anxiety is lessening with time (as is my patience) and my baby is adjusting to life without her special blanket. Isn't she cute?? :)

I am battling this same thing with Granger's pacifier. He has had to leave it with his lambie in the bed since he was 18 months old but the pacifier is still around. We have been talking for the last month about how he is going to give Santa the pacifier. Santa is going to take it to all the new babies but I am not confident that he is going to part with the pacifier. At least you are only battling a blanket and not a pacifier or thumb. Super cute picture!!!
